Kids with Swag

Yesterday I walked to the farmer’s market and saw the cutest mother-daughter duo in matching striped shirt-dresses and woven brown leather belts.  The mom had great style but seeing it replicated on a barely 2 year old little girl was just too much.

How cute are these kids, and their style, from the Children With Swag Tumblr?

Clothing for kids has come a long way from the puffy painted tees I wore as a kid – and I was a fairly stylish kid.  How fun and playful are these kids?

Happy Monday – hope you’re bringing lots of swag to your week!

Finding Your Shadow

As an adult I have zero memory of the first time I “found” my shadow.  I do have memories of making shadow animals with my poppy, or shadow modeling (you know your shadow is like a giant ready for the runway)…

But a few weeks ago I stumbled on this video and well, prepare to laugh and melt.  This little boy finds and then masters his own little shadow.

So cool!

Kids on the Computer

Monday mornings, especially after a long weekend (which I had), are always a little tough – so I figured a fun video could get you through your first cup of coffee.

Here is a classroom of first or second grade students in 1984 – when I was born – explaining to their teacher what a computer is.

My niece and nephew are about the same age, and they are so well versed in technology it is amazing what a difference 25 years makes.  Even more impressive is my 2.5 year old nephew who has mastered the iPad and Angry Birds…

This video is a delight; it is awesome in it’s simplicity.

We went to New York City this weekend on an impromptu trip – more details later!
